Research and Development Assistant 

  • Conducted multiple prints and studies on selective laser melting techniques with the objective to determine the optimized process parameters

  • Investigated and interpreted X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Vickers Hardness tester data for in-depth research of various materials such as Inconel 718 and Ni-Ti material

  • Acquired meticulous proficiency in additive manufacturing software such as Materialize Magics, ImageJ, Atlas3D Sunata, EOS Print2, etc.

  • Recreated a solid model of EOS M290 printer recoater using multiple geometric dimensioning tools

  • Mentored and got shortlisted for a Research Experience for Undergraduate project related to patient-specific hip implant

Mechanical and Supply Chain Intern

  • Optimized and set up an inventory of Modula MX75D vertical storage system used for the storage of plastic extrusion equipment for manufacturing of Costco, Huggies and Tide products to get optimum efficiency and reduce the operational time

  • Applied multiple supply chain functions including but not limited to supply chain function including but not limited to: Defining inventory target levels, establishing MIN and MAX order qty, storage organization and purchasing triggers which helped improve inventory accuracy in this category by a significant percentage

  • Implemented, executed and tested the 5S systems to maintain the efficiency up to a prolonged period along with submission of Nation-Wide Quality System report to standardize the implemented system and engineer a Kanban board to minimize process time, thus improving the overall 5S factor from 2 to 5

Manufacturing Engineer

  • Designed an ATV in accordance with SAE and ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards, drafted CAD models, generated prototypes, analyzed simulations and fabricated the vehicle using optimal manufacturing resources while maintaining OSHA regulations

  • Implemented and executed hands-on lean manufacturing processes after coordinating with a team consisting of 30 members to plot functional relationships between components, assemblies, systems and machines for national racing championships
